Gland
Geneva, Gland, Lucerne. If a site fails, workloads can restart on one of the other two DCs. 100% renewable power, including heat reuse where the site allows it.

Security
The perimeter is the operator, the jurisdiction, and what never leaves the country.
Swiss law only
Hidora SA, Lancy. No US parent. The CLOUD Act does not apply as it does to AWS, Azure or GCP.
ISO 27001
Operator ISMS, certified by SQS. Access, ops, risk. Not a substitute for your DPIA.
Tenant isolation
Network, storage and identities per project. Production is not a neighbour of staging.
Secrets and backups in-country
Vault as a Service. Backups in Switzerland. Encryption available. S3 WORM when governance requires it.
Sites
Facility names, capacity and energy mix as published for each site. Hikube runs here; the buildings are operated by Stack Infrastructure (Geneva, Gland) and EWL (Lucerne).
PLO
Stack Infrastructure GEN01
ISO 14001, ISO 27001, ISO 50001, ISO 9001, PCI DSS
GEN01A site: 100% renewable power. Up to 4.4 MW of residual heat fed into the CAD-ZIPLO district heating network, covering up to 75% of the local industrial zone’s heat demand. Swiss law, interconnect, and access to an open telecom market.
GLD
Stack Infrastructure GEN02
ISO 14001, ISO 27001, ISO 50001, ISO 9001, PCI DSS
Multi-tenant campus, one of the largest datacenters in Switzerland. Swiss hydropower via SIG “Vitale Bleue”, about 6.9 g CO₂-eq per kWh. Ready rack rooms, connectivity, and fast deployment.
LUC
EWL Stollen
ISO 27001, ISO 9001, ISO 50001, PCI DSS, TÜVIT TSI Level III extended, Climate Neutral Data Centre Pact
Underground bunker. Lake-water cooling and heat recovery for district heating. 100% renewable operations, local operator, national reach.
Green IT
Same facts as the former Green IT page: certified renewable power, site-level heat and cooling, operator CSR labels. No PUE published.
All three Hikube sites run on certified renewable electricity, hydropower in particular.
Virtualisation, server consolidation and resource management for more useful work per watt, less idle hardware.
Geneva feeds residual heat into CAD-ZIPLO. Lucerne uses lake cooling and recovers heat for district heating.
Reuse and recycling of equipment at end of life, instead of throwaway hardware at every refresh.

Swiss reference certification for sustainable development and corporate responsibility (operator).

International CSR label. Same programme, readable outside Switzerland.
Two parties overlap on each site, and conflating them distorts a file. The building operator, Stack Infrastructure in Geneva and Gland, EWL in Lucerne, answers for the envelope: power, cooling, physical access, and the certifications the building holds. Hidora SA answers for the service running inside: the servers, the platform, your data. The practical consequence for a qualification file: the certifications listed per site are the building operator’s, not the platform’s, and Hidora’s ISO 27001 attestation is requested separately, the security and compliance evidence. Energy, capacity and recovered-heat figures are the ones the site operators publish: take them from their own source if your file needs a reference, and check them on your date, they move.
Three Swiss sites give you data residency and the platform surviving the loss of a building: the control plane keeps its quorum on the remaining two, replicated volumes stay readable, the other sites’ nodes remain. What they do not give on their own is your applications’ availability. A workload whose replicas all sat on the site that went down stops, however good the three buildings are: spreading the pods is declared on your side, through topology spread and PodDisruptionBudget. The procedure is in the three-datacenter procedure, and the distinction between replication, application availability, RPO and RTO in the high-availability architecture. Datacenters are a necessary condition; they are not an automatic guarantee.
Geneva, Gland, Lucerne. If a site fails, workloads can restart on one of the other two DCs. Synchronous replication (real time) or asynchronous (improved performance). Private interconnect links the three availability zones. Power is 100% renewable. SLA 99.99% (details in the contract, public status).
No. The operator is Hidora SA under Swiss law. There is no EU or US spill of your data. ISO 27001. See security & compliance for CLOUD Act, nFADP and DORA evidence.
Not a slogan. All three datacenters run on renewable electricity. Geneva feeds up to 4.4 MW into CAD-ZIPLO. Gland is on SIG Vitale Bleue, about 6.9 g CO₂-eq/kWh. Lucerne uses lake cooling. The operator holds EcoEntreprise and Responsibility Europe. An engineer can walk a project energy file; no PUE figure is published here.
Cut the IT footprint: renewable electricity on all three sites, virtualisation and consolidation, reused heat where the site allows it, hardware lifecycle. It is not an offset bought for a US VM.
Consumption, the site energy mix (hydro, Vitale Bleue), and published site figures (CAD-ZIPLO heat, g CO₂-eq/kWh at Gland). For a named project, ask an engineer for the file, not a single marketing score.
Operator: EcoEntreprise and Responsibility Europe. Sites: ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 on GEN01 and GEN02, Climate Neutral Data Centre Pact and TSI Level III in Lucerne, plus ISO 27001 / 9001 and PCI DSS depending on the site.
